One PhD studentship in the Avian Flu research is available at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia. The research will involve the design, synthesis and biological evaluation of heterocycles as neuraminidase inhibitors.

Graduates in M. Sc. (Chemistry or Pharmacy) with CGPA of at least 3.0 or higher (75% or higher) are invited to apply. Candidates will be selected based on strong experience in synthetic chemistry. The period of study would last for 3 years with a gross monthly pay of RM1,500. The successful candidate should start this PhD study, preferably by April 2009.

Overseas candidates are required to demonstrate a good command of English by submitting your TOEFL or IELTS results.
